Shenzhen Metro Lines 2 and 8 have enhanced weekend metro services to better serve passengers traveling to the seaside starting July 5. Compared to the same period last year, the number of trains operating from Chiwan to Xiaomeisha between 7:56 a.m. and 8:53 a.m. on weekends has increased from 9 to 13 departures, significantly improving morning capacity.
The evening super-peak return period from Xiaomeisha to Chiwan has been extended by 73 minutes, now lasting from 5:28 p.m. to 8:36 p.m.. During this time, trains departing from Dameisha station run at approximately three-minute intervals, further reducing wait times for returning passengers.
To optimize train turnaround efficiency during the weekend peak evening hours from 4:10 p.m. to 7:50 p.m., some trains on Lines 2 and 8 will operate a short shuttle route between Xiaomeisha and Antuo Hill stations. As part of this adjustment, certain trains departing Xiaomeisha will terminate at Antuo Hill after droppischarging off passengers.
