On the morning of May 28, the Chengdu-Shenzhen-Hong Kong freight service officially launched as a cargo train departed from the Chengdu Central Station.
Fully loaded with goods, the train was scheduled to reach Yantian Port in Shenzhen within two days, where the cargo would be transferred to the Kwai Tsing Container Terminals in Hong Kong, before being loaded onto international ships bound for global destinations.
This new service adds another crucial international trade route for the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, following the launch of the Chongqing-Shenzhen-Hong Kong freight service last August. It also marks the official opening of Chengdu Inland Port, the 18th facility in Yantian's inland port network, further strengthening economic and trade ties between the Chengdu-Chongqing region and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
